Therese Hope’s First Birthday

My baby turned one last March 2022. We held a simple get-together with close families and friends. Weeks prior, there was a surge of Covid-19 cases and we were in Alert Level 2. We were not sure if the party will push through. Roughly a week before, we were assured that the venue will accommodate us, then we started planning and getting busy.

I had a schoolmate ahead of me when I was in high school, who has a business of party and grazing setups, I contacted her and the outcome was pretty good. The cake was also from her supplier so it matches the theme of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.

For invites, I just created one using Canva:

My mom-in-law has a lot of contacts, so she was in-charge of looking for event host and magician. The magician was really funny—even the adults were having a good time in a children’s party.

We were gifted with another cake by one of my baby’s godfather. And we just put together a few loot bags for kids who came and celebrated with us. Food was from the venue’s caterer which was also good. All in all, it was a great party—kids had a lot of fun, adults had a lot to eat, and everyone was happy.
